Accomplishments of 2008
Your donations have made a difference for the children we serve in ways that have offered each child new hope and achievements.
- EHF begins its annual partnership with Vista Del Mar Child & Family Services by supporting their Arts Enrichment Program (AEP).
- EHF remodeled, painted, replaced and provided needed inventory, and sponsored Vista Del Mar Child & Family Service's Arts Enrichment Program's Music Center.
- "Garage Band 101" course began in the summer for sixteen students teaching music recording using computer technology. This unique software provided through Macintosh computers sponsored by EHF. To date the class has serviced over 50 students and a waiting list for the next course is pending.
- EHF initiated H.I.P.P.'s (Hope's Initiative Pilot Program) "Songwriters Symposium" which began in the fall with 35 junior high and high school students. Phase one of journaling has commenced, and is soon to be followed with lyric development and structured song writing later this year. Students are learning the fundamentals of creative writing using adjectives and literary application.
